iPad 4.2.1

Hi all,
Do I understand correctly that I can jb my new iPad thats running 4.2.1 but only as tethered.?

Sorry for sounding dumb I have found redsnow 0.9.6 for iPhone, but will that work on iPad ok.?

Any advice would be welcomed, merry Xmas all

For the time being, you are correct. Its only tethered right now. The untethered jailbreak is currently being beta tested. If I had to hazard a guess, I would expect the non beta jailbreak to be available in 1-2 weeks.

Cheers air wolf, will the iPhone/iPod version work on iPad or do I need a specific iPad version ?

I jailbroke my new ipad on 4.2.1 using Redsnow 0.9.6 last night. Worked flawlessly! Although its a tethered jb, its really not that bad. Just youtube "tethered 4.2.1 jb redsn0w" There are tons of tutorials.
