LOL thanks man I've tried every freaking combination it's like this thing doesn't like my phone. I think I'm going to put back the fresh totally unaltered theme and remove all of my themes and see if it will change then. Then once it changes I'll try altering it after that and see what happens. I'll update you guys :D

LOL it worked!!!! thanks man. I reinstalled the Cydia theme and changed the wallpaper. It showed and then I edited the sliders and BOOM!!! my theme is good to go for now until I tweak it a bit later. :D Oh and here are the sliders I promised to show, well one look closely you'll see the Beta symbol. I'll post some screens now that I finally got the wallpaper to change.

So here is my current Lockscreen, now finally customized
img0212.png

Thanks to BLiNK for sticking with me on it through question after question LOL. I haven't tried the multiple cities yet I just wanted to get the background thing out of the way so now I can try that out LOL.

PS
Just wanted to add a question because it might be lost in the thread by now. I keep getting themes that are unable to install on my iPad because it's missing dependency gsc.wildcat? any idea what I have to do to get that sucker?

I'm sure you've seen the .plist editing fix that comes up via Google, just note that a lot of people are pointing out that you need to be super careful about your editing or you could get stuck and have to restore.

I DID see one simpler solution for the wildcat dependency issue, which said that it would resolve itself if you power down the iPad, then turn it on, go straight to Cydia and install the package you want before doing anything else. Worth a try! I remember having a .gsc issue on my ip4 at one point, but it resolved itself and I'm not sure what it was referring to...

You did the .plist edit?

Yep :D used iFile and copy and paste it was really easy.

I also thought you guys might like to see the TypoPhone theme applied to an iPad. It's really cool having all the cities on one screen. I just have to find the time to try and alter it so that the lockscreen fits the iPad

Nice, glad it worked. I'm remembering now reading somewhere that some Cydia tweaks try to remove this, so maybe that's what happened, or at least it's something to keep in mind when you install new stuff.

Help

I need some help. I'm playing with this lockscreen theme and I can't get the wallpaper to show. Can you tell me what do I need to do to correct it? Thanks.

Some questions:

What is the name of the theme?
Are you comfortable going into and changing the contents of your phone's filesystem?
Anything odd about the wallpaper--is it video, a slideshow, updating weather--or is it just an image?

Looks like your configuration is set to a non-existing image source. In your LockBackground.html file there should be a link similar to:

<td id="Backgrounds"> <img width="320" height="480" src="/link/to/your/background/image"></img> </td>

make sure that points to the correct wallpaper. If you post which package this is someone can post a more detailed solution.

Hey blink.
I couldn't quote your ss post. Newbie on this forum.
I got carbon x also but it doesn't look same as yours. How do I get it to look like yours?
I don't like the original folders that comes with carbon x.
Can you please show me the dummy way? New to iPhones. Not new to hacking.
I love the way yours look.
Thanks a lot.
Or you can also email me at timkim82 @ gmail.com

Thanks Massie, I was able to figure out with the help of someone in another forum. This is what I did in case someone encounters the same issue:

To fix the lockscreen wallpaper issue on 4.2.1, you must put your wallpaper into the theme folder and also change the imgsrc in "LockBackground.html"

Where it says, change

<div id="background">
<img style="position:absolute" src="background.png" width="320" height="480"></img>
<img src="/User/Library/SpringBoard/LockBackground.jpg" width="320" height="480"></img>
</div>

to

<div id="background">
<img style="position:absolute" src="background.png" width="320" height="480"></img>
<img src="<your wallpaper name.extension>" width="320" height="480"></img>
</div>

Here's the new shot after I edited the file:

Name of the theme: Danael M9 and you can find it @ DevianArt if interested.

Thanks again.
