No blobs,no fun.Right?

After an extended search on this forums,as well as others,I came to realise that without any blobs you can have no fun with your phone
I recently bought an iPhone(after 4.2.1 release) and did the idiotic thing of updating without saving blobs or anything.
So my question is: How screwed am I?Is there any possible way to have an untethered JB or am I going to have to stick to tethered and never have any mobilesubstrate addons or springboard themes,just in case my battery dies ?

Honestly no one knows. There is a backup plan in place using blobs for a beta of 4.2 (4.2b3). Comex might come out with a userland hack that requires no blobs. Right now we just have to wait and see...
