Update: Just a reminder, greenpois0n is ONLY for 4th gen devices, so ipad, iP4, and iPT4G. Also if you want unlock you will have to restore to custom IPSW that has BB 01.59.00

Update: MuscleNerd has announced that thanks to help from Comex, Greenpois0n will be untethered. This is for 4.1/3.2.2 firmwares...

To be CLEAR, DO NOT upgrade to 4.1 yet if you ever want to have an unlocked phone, as it will render ultrasn0w useless and there might never be another unlock... There is a safe way to upgrade to 4.1 without upgrading your baseband by using TinyUmbrella. But Id suggest waiting until all the details regarding greenpois0n are released before doing anything more than saving your SHSH for 4.1. Remember if 4.1.1 is released tomorrow and you did not save your SHSH blobs you will be SOL...

Details havent been released of the delivery system... But that is the most probable method...

Really? Everything I've read is that it's for all iDevices.

If it's using the shatter exploit, AFAIK it's not for all devices.

Its using the SHAtter exploit so it will only be for 4th gen devices which have that specific bootrom...

People with 3GS's with the new bootrom will be left in the dark until comex comes out with something new, as he is the only one working on it to my knowledge. Remember, Comex is 18 years old, so Im sure its not his only pressing issue...
