unlocking/jailbreak iphone 4?

oh i don't really know anything about any of this, but i just moved to Guam and the iphone 4 hasn't hit yet, but i bought one when i was still in the states. They told me i should be able to use it if i unlock it. I tried looking on this site but i couldn't really find anything that helped. How do i go about unlocking it myself? Does it need to be jailbroken or what ever? Any tips would be awesome!!

First JB by visiting jailbreakme.com with the iPhone Afterward, you'll have Cydia installed. From within Cydia, install ultrasnow to unlock the phone.
