Hello everyone,
I apologize in advance if such a question has been asked before and answered - I tried searching but couldn't find an answer that would end my quest.
I have an iPhone 3G and an iPhone 3GS - both have 3.1.2 - I never upgraded to a newer firmware. Unfortunately, I have started reading up and learning about jailbreaking and unlocking only recently, so I do not have 3.1.2/3.1.3 SHSH saved on Cydia. Now the question is - can I jailbreak my 3G and 3GS? If yes - which tool to use for each.
The reason I am asking is that if I use a method that cooks up a custom firmware - the process will fail during the firmware verification - because I don't have SHSH saved and Apple is only signing 4.0.1 currently.
Your help is greatly appreciated... Thanks.
