Apps continously displayed.!

Ok every so often my apps on my jail broken 3gs get displaced on the home screen resulting in some apps being moved from the first screen to another forcing me to rearrange the apps again which is at times a nightmare as I have lots of apps so what causes this which app is responsible cause I have installed a lot of the must have jail break apps. Also what happens just prior to the apps getting displaced is a screen comes on I think it mentions something about phone needing restarting and something about safe mode before my apps are displaced so please help.
