App that manages apps (like a task manager)

title says it all,
I just wanted to know if theres an app that can manage resources and like kill apps and make sure they arent running in the background (im coming from using a blackberry and you are sure they are closed).

Also anyone knows what the one called where you swipe the top part of homescreen (status bar?) and then you can quickly turn off wifi/3g/ect ect..

That app is called SBSettings, and SBSettings has a processes screen where you can kill apps and free up memory.
