They seem to offer the same services and features, that I can see..

Can anyone tell me which one is worth buying? and why?

I haven't used biteSMS but i am currently using iReal and I love it. It has made everything so much simpler. The fact I can reply to sms even on the lockscreen is what sold me

I'm currently trying out biteSMS and I love it. Reply on lockscreen works great. One feature I like is if someone is responding to a tweet it shows the original tweet in the same bubble. Bitesms is also on sale right now. Half off till June.

I like quickreply...alot though I don't know how it compares to the other two, reply during apps on lockscreen, all that jazz.

I think they are pretty much the same thing aren't they?

I've never used iRealSMS but I know that biteSMS has a bit more community support and I also know that biteSMS has a TON of options... Not sure if iRealSMS has all the options that biteSMS has since I've not used it.

Is there an updated consensus for the 3.0 / 3.1 generation of Firmware & the newest versions of each of these SMS apps?
I have iPhone 2G 3.1.2 so memory / cpu performance is an issue.
