Hey!

I was looking to get an iPhone 3GS, unlocking it, and using it on the T-Mobile network. Is it possible for me to do this? I've heard that 3.1.3 cannot be unlocked, can 3.1.3 be downgraded to 3.1.2?

Thanks a lot! I really appreciate your help!

At this point in time 3.1.3 cannot be unlocked. Even if it can be downgraded to 3.1.2, it doesn't change the baseband - which cannot be unlocked.

However, if you look on eBay there are already phones being sold that are on 3.1.2.

I'm typing to you from a jailbroken and unlocked 3G on T-Mobile. But I used a rather complex method to get my phone this way that a lot of other iPhones aren't eligible for.

Basically, if you buy a brand new one, you can't do it. But if you buy one that's already jailbroken and unlocked then yes, you should be fine.
