Spirit Jailbreak Questions from a (very) Newbie

Hi everyone. First off thanks for all the excellent tips and information in this forum.

I am thinking about jailbreaking my iPhone using spirit but I'm completely new to this and have a few questions (sorry if they are stupid ones!):

1. It sounds like most people are jailbreaking their iphone 3GS. I only have a 3G - is it worth it or is my phone too sloooow to handle it? Maybe I just won't be able to run some apps like backgrounder?

2. Do I lose my apple app store apps when I jailbreak? After jailbreaking can I still download from the official app store?

1- Yes you can JB the 3g. It is a bit slower than the 3gs but its not a deal breaker. You can still use backgrounder to multitask, just dont run too many things at once so the phone wont slow up too bad.

2- You will not loose your Apps Store apps nor access to the app store.

I just JB my 2G iphone. I actually had to upgrade to 3.1.3 since I don't plug this one int (iPod mostly, since I have a 3GS.) The install was very quick and I am now playing around trying to install a theme.
