jailbroken 3gs doesnt vibrate for sms

my phone doesnt vibrate when i get txts or when i use app that shod make it, though it does when i get a call. it happened right after i installed "sms vibration boost," so i uninstalled and rebooted but it still doesnt work

also i tried to look at the soundsystemvibratepattern.plist thingy and it isnt it the directory, i didnt no where to look, i locked in the celestial.frameworks and it wasnt there, so i downloaded a new one and ssh'd it into the folder, then restrted and it still isnt working

also i cant restore cuz its jailbroken on 3.1.2 and i dont hv shsh signed on it, and i dont want 3.1.3

Did you make sure in Settings under Sounds, Vibrate is set to ON?
