3gs mc, finally able to downgrade to 3.1.2, have questions..

After a couple grouling hours, I was able to downgrade thanks to the FW Umbrella.

I was unable to jailbreak using pwnagetool, as I had in the past, received a 1015 error in itunes. So I tried again with blackr4in and it was sucessful. Now my questions are this.. now that its jailbroken, can i put a custom 3.1.3 firmware on there? also, there are carrier updates available, usually these arnt a problem, but since im not on 3.1.3 I wasnt sure.

Carrier updates are fine.

You should be able to use Pwnage or whatever to upgrade to a custom 3.1.3.

Should i leave the customer entry in the hosts file for gs.apple.com while attempting to update to custom 3.1.3?

How did you downgrade to 3.1.2?!

I'm actually trying to upgrade from 3.1 to 3.1.2, and people have been telling me that it's impossible. Yet, you've done something just like it.

Can you tell me how you did it or what I should be looking for?

He can downgrade because he stored his ECID info that's the FW Umbrella
