Jailbreaking an unlocked phone?

Hi there,

I have an unlocked iPhone (v3.1.3), and I would like to jailbreak it.

However, I need it to be unlocked as it is an unlocked 02 iPhone and I am using a vodafone contract sim with it due to it being unlocked. I would like to be able to jailbreak it, but there are a few concerns that I have...

- Will the phone still be unlocked after jailbreaking?
- Will I still be able to use my vodafone contract sim after even though it was an 02 phone?

If anyone could shed some light on whether this is possible or not, and if it is...how to do it then I would be truly thankful.

if it was unlocked by the carrier then you can jailbreak using whatever method you would like and ur unlock will stay there. if it was unlocked by the owner of the phone then you have to be carefull to NOT upgrade the phone when you do a jailbreak
