Is it possible to upgrade 3.1 to 3.1.2?

I've been getting alot of conflicting information, so I'm gonna try this one more time.

I have 3.1. I've never jailbroken my phone. I want 3.1.2.

I downloaded a 3.1.2 firmware, and when I went to shift+restore my phone, it said it was going to check with iTunes, and said that my phone didn't meet the right build or something like that. I have the latest and updated iTunes.

I heard that apple isn't signing off on anything other than 3.1.3, so is this the reason why? Is there a way around it? Would disconnecting from the internet do the trick? What about when I reconnect? What if I downgraded my iTunes?

Is it at all possible to upgrade from a 3.1 to a 3.1.2 anymore? Or is it only possible to do it to 3.1.3?

No, it's not. Especially since you were never jailbroken before.

What if I use that fake apple server? I forget what its called. Saurik? So that when it tries to check up with apple, it doesn't really, but checks the fake server. Or does that only work if I've jailbroken before?
