Hello there

My iphone has
Version: 3.1.2
Modem Firmware: 05.12.01

It is currently jailbroken but I want to unlock it. When i try to install Blackra1n, although it installs properly but its icon does not show up on the iphone screen after the reboot. Not sure why?

I am wondering if it is possible to unlock the phone in any ways?

Can I restore the phone to its factory defaults using itunes and then try Blackra1n? Would that work? Any other suggestion is welcome.

- I thought only basebane 5.12.01 was released with the upgrade to 3.1.3, but 5.12.01 cannot be currently unlocked and there is no way to downgrade your baseband.

Well.. Lotusisred doesn't say which iPhone it is. If it's a 3G, then you can try putting the iPhone in DFU-Mode, restore to OS 3.1.2, jailbreak and downgrade with Fuzzyband from Cydia. Other then that; no you can not unlock.
