stuck on apple logo. desperate need of help!!!

I just got an iphone from my brother in law. Its a jailbreak phone but my problem is that there was still someone elses account still on it. So he called the place where he bought it and said try the erase all data and settings. So I did. Now it has been stuck on the apple logo for 24 hours now. I tried the holding the power botton and home botton at the same time but it does nothing. I'm in sum major need of some help.

No easy way to say it but it's the jailbreak that bricked your phone (known problem). You have to put it into Recovery Mode (YouTube it) and pray it works. Took me four hours of trying before I got a "good recovery."

Now the bad news: iTunes will force you to update firmware and software. You're going to lose your Jailbreak and Unlock until Blackra1n catches up. Good luck!
