Help I Just Get Apple Logo

I have used redsnow to jailbreak my phone but it just gets stuck on the apple logo. I have done a force reboot but i still just get the aple logo.

I have a 3g phone which was on at least version 3 but not the latest.

Im not sure what to try next?

i had this happen to my friends phone this is what i did hold the power and home button to do a normal restart then when it powers back on let go of the power button and keep holding the home button then it will show the itunes logo connect then restore.
