Is there a way to back a3g and 3gs like you would a pc?

Well u can backup ur bios if needed. I am wanting to lknow if u can say make an image of it and load it back. Or how ever u would keep a file if say ur phone crashes and u need to restore it and u wanna keep it from going to 3.1.3.

Google 3.1.2 firmware download and restore from it if needed
System restore is different than synced "personal" data.

Yeah I found firmware already. Just wasn't sure if a restore from my backup or custom would be any different.
