Blackra1n annoying error

I decided to update my iphone to 3.1.2 to get the new icamcorder app on appstore. Now im trying to get cydia and unlock my phone. however when i try to install cydia i get this error:
Error Downloading Cydia
could not download
Error:Error
Domain=NSURLErrorDomain
Code=-1001 UserInfo=0x1c7400
"timed out"

Is there a way to install cydia without blackra1n. Is there anything i can do to fix it.

Make sure you have an active WiFi connection (only way to d/l Cydia), and keep trying. Sometimes Cydia is just unavailable due to traffic.

You can also try to install Rock as well. Otherwise, leave blackra1n on your iPhone and try again later. As Alli said, sometime the traffic causes it to timeout.

I had this error the last time I jb'd an iPhone 3G. I just waited 10 minutes, installed Rock, then installed cydia from there. worked perfect. I use both rock and cydia.. because they both are good apps.
