Tethered Jailbreak on 3gs bootloader?

How do you know which bootloader you have on a 3gs by the serial number? Also which combinations mean you will have a tethered jailbreak?

It's not absolutely fool proof but if the 4th and 5th digits of the serial number is less than 40, then you most likely have the older bootrom but someone also got a week 41 phone with the old bootrom.

To be safe, look for < 40

My serial number is: 85003, is mine with new bootrom too? i think it is.
