post Blackra1n problem

Ok, so I used Blackra1n to jailbreak my iphone 3GS. Installed Cydia and Rock, all is good so far. Whenever I attempt to open any non-Apple app, it flashes a second then closes. I've tested this with every app on my iPhone. Has anyone else encountered this? I re-ran blackra1n again, no help. Restored iphone using iTunes, then ran blackra1n again, no good.

update 1

I fully restored the iPhone and rather than selecting restore, I selected new iPhone. Sync'd everything again and it now works. Hesitant to try that again.
