Question about Lag on 8gig 3g

As said above I have an iPhone 3g and I am JB on 3.1.2 and I installed winterboard and started messing around with some themes. One theme has a constant changing background picture and when I slide from one page to another everything slows down. Same as when I open an app. I even reboot to make sure I don't have any unnesacary apps draining memory. My question is if this is common or is there something Im doing wrong? Thanks in advance!

It's very common. The 3G lags like a mofo when you try to theme it.

Sorry man, but it's true. I went through the same stuff wHen I hadn't 3G. That's actually single handedly the reason why I upgraded to the 3G.

Ok. Thanks. I guess when my 3g dies I'll get a 3gs.
