Winterboard problem

Installed Winterboard and nothing seems to work.
Have ticked a few things, exited and it looks as though it's doing something, closes then once unlocked still the same.
I've also downloaded a couple of themes and enabled them in winterboard, but still no change.
Am I doing something wrong?

New jailbreak (last night)
Iphone 3GS 16gb running 3.1.2

for your themes. were they winterboard specific themes or were they iphone themes for your springboard? makes a difference.

as for winterboard addons, besides just ticking them off (hehe) you need to move those ticked items up to the top of winterboard. then respring and see if the magic happens.
