JB Question

After the Cydia install all my apps disappear from my phone. This has happened the last 2 times I jailbroke my phone. All my settings and pictures/music are there just the applications are missing.

These are my paid applications not the cydia apps.

To fix it I do a sync with itunes and check off the apps I want to sync.

Is this normal or is there I am missing?

Which jb method did you use? I didn't have that with redsn0w the first time, and didn't have it with blackra1n this time.

I used the proc from Technobuzz.


All the apps were there before I installed cydia. Once I installed cydia there were all gone.

Did they all come back after you did a sync to iTunes?

I've not had the issue....but I always restore as new before I jailbreak, and the jailbreak is the first thing I do. So the only apps on my phone when I jailbreak are the stock ones.

I had to check them in itunes, but I couldn't remember which ones I had on the phone. So when I had missed some itunes asked if I wanted to remove them from the phone as if they were installed. So I think they were installed but from some reason the icons were missing.
