alrite, i'm tired of searching.. please help me or point me in a right direction. i am very new to this iphone stuff.
i got my very first iphone 3GS week n half ago and last week i jailbreaked it. It was running 3.0.1 version and i'm still on the same version. however, i have battery issue and it heats up way too much... so i have to take it apple store.
I need to restore it back to 3.0.1 (i don't want 3.1 yet!). I tried downloading 3.0.1 firmware and changed hosts file on my pc and then tried 'shift+click' restoring thru itunes but doesn't allow me to restore it back to 3.0.1.
under Cydia app.. there is a msg "This device has a 3.1 ECID SHSH on file." I don't know y 3.1 when at the bottom of the same screen (and under 'About') version is 3.0.1?!?!?!
