Iphone 3gs jail break

I used the redsn0w on the Iphone 3g and it went smooth but when i tried on my 3gs it didn't reboot or start setin up the program just stays of and wait for reboot what it says

Try to DFU restore and sounds like you used wrong firmware.

the one my phone currently is the 3.0.1 and the redsn0w wont regonize anything but the 3.0. it worked on my 3g not my 3gs thou

Because you have to use 3Gs 3.0 not 3G 3.0

Put it on your desktop so it is easier to find.

when i go to browse from redsn0w it doesnt show up and all hidden files are shwon under file options

when its like that unplug the iphone from the charger the screen should be white then plug it back in. This works for me every time.

from what i got it's the wrong firm wire, when i do the restart on the 3g it works every time when i do it for the 3gs the screen turns off not white like the 3g does.

Did you replace the .zip with .ipsw?

replace zip wit .Ipsw u mean the file name?

Make sure you show hidden files & folders replace the .zip with .ipsw on the end of the file.

how do u convert the .zip to a .ipsw? i tried renamin it but it's not changin the compressed file to ipsw
