do I need to update cydia?

hello.. I have used the purplera1n, and purplesn0w to jailbreak and unlock the 3gs. not problems so far, but I do see the cydia has 2 updates pending on the cydia icon.

what you suggest I do with it? update? or leave it...

if i choose to update will my phone work as before, or I need to do the unlock process again?

Update you will not need to rejailbreak.

resently to upgrade cydia always difficult. what might be the problem.

Updaing Cydia will give you no problems with your jailbreak or unlock. Updating the iPhone OS ( to 3.0.1 for example ) will undo your unlock and jailbreak.
