That most definately does not work. Send the phone straight into safe mode.

I just removed it, via cydia, and it still seems to be installed. And still crashing the phone. Is there a different way to remove programs? aaargh
I have no problems with it. Maybe the installation on yours went wrong. Are you on a 3GS? i'm on a reg 3G.

Oh, my bad. I had a brain fart and was thinking this was 3gs compatible.

So its compatible with 3.0, but definitely not 3gs.

I would be careful with notifier because i have heard in some other forums, and had some experience myself with it crashing the phone and sending it into safe mode. it wasn't necessary for me, so i uninstalled and haven't had a crash since.

I know StatusNotifier is not compatible...at the moment, but notifier is supposed to be. I have crashed to safe mode, once during a restart, and something isn't playing nice with sbsettings power menu, sbsettings doesn't seem to be able to power off or reboot the phone.

Maybe I'll uninstall notifier and see what happens.

Lockdown is now called 3.0 ready but still sends my phone into safe mode about a third of the time I unlock an app (lot better than the previous that was 100% ). Once they fix this, Lockdown is a gotta-have. Even with this bug, it's a very handy app and recommended.

qTweeter is my fave jailbreak app. It allows you to update your Twitter status from any app. It's recently been updated to support 3.0.

Apps worth jailbreaking for (I use them all the time):
IntelliScreen (not buggy for me, I'm on a 3G with 3.0)
-once I added IntelliScreen I have really cut down on how much I actually unlock and use my iPhone, so battery length is up. This application seems like such a no-brainer for apple, but since they don't do it, I'm glad someone else does.
    IntelliDial
    Inspell (I can't spell wurth a shett)

    Others I have and like:
    iBlacklist
    SBSettings
    WinterBoard
    Cycorder
    MobileMe GUI 3.0 (theme)
    Old Dock Theme
    ReflectiveDock
    Smaller Wide Sliders

Agree with the post below me. I've paid for all the apps I use. Gee whiz it's not like there expensive and I want talented programmers to make more, so the scratch is worth it!!

    - SBSettings (Can not live without this)
    - Backgrounder (Can not live without this. Backgrounded streaming radio = nuff said.)
    - Five Icon Dock
    - 3G Unrestrictor (Nice to have when you want to install a large app and you're nowhere near Wifi or stream a higher quality video now and then. However, a large number of people using this regularly and/or in excess will continue giving jailbreak a bad name.)
    - iMobileCinema
    - Lock Calendar (I paid for and would recommend Intelliscreen instead but it's buggy as crap. Least it was the last time I tried it.)
    - Stack (Alpha for now, but absolutely destroys Categories)
    - UserAgent Faker
    - xGPS
    - iRealQuickSMS

These all work on 3GS in 3.0. iRealQuickSMS display is a little wonky, but it works. Just a cosmetic issue for me. Although there's been a million of these posts on every single blog, I appreciate them. I wish more exposure could be given for the usefulness of Jailbreaking and the stigma that people only Jailbreak to pirate apps could be broken. I have never and will never use a pirated app. Not even as a trial. In fact I've even paid for a large number of Jailbreak apps. Apple sure needs to implement proper trials, though.
