I am considering purchasing an iPhone 3G S. In the UK O2 will be offering this phone on a pre pay tarif.
I am currently contracted to Orange UK (I have a blackberry curve 8900) and dont wish to break this contract as O2's service where I am is sketchy at best. So I am just wondering if it is possible for me to buy an iphone 3g s from O2 and use my orange sim card in the device. I realise it will initially be locked to O2, but I am wondering what steps I will need to take to unlock the device.

Also will I still be able to use itunes to sync media contact once the device is unlocked?

Does the iphone support UMA via WIFI?

o2 told me there will be a 3gs available at release on pay as you go, but expect to pay knocking on 400 notes for the 16gb
