Contract Phone - Jailbreak

Hi,
I recently got a IPhone 3G on contract, Im looking in to possibly Jailbreaking it.

I have a few questions,
1.If i Jailbreak it, will it cause problems with the sim/contract service im on? (UK, O2)

2.I heard there is no chance of "Bricking" your phone if you only Jailbreak, Instead its known on unlocking?

3.Can the ITunes store be used on the phone i have Jailbreaked it?

4.Is this the best guide for me? (I have Itunes 8, firmware 2.2.1 the same as stated in the guide.)

Sometimes yes, sometimes no. Like I said though, it would a very rare occasion.

Just to double check on this, Is it required to take the sim card out of the phone when jailbreaking it?
