Okay, I am loster than heck here. I've been trying for days to get this to work on my Macbook Air and my iPhone. No luck at all.

First, when you install iphonemodem, the free one, are you supposed to get an icon on the iPhone? I see screenshots for it, but I've installed and reinstalled about 5 times, still can't see the icon on my iPhone.

Second, I downloaded the helper app from iphonemodem.de and ran the setup utility, but absolutely can not get past connecting at step two. I keep getting errors about connect the iPhone to the wlan... HOW????? And then it says start the ssh-server...HOW?????

I am getting so irritated at not being able to do this...

Well, I gave up on PDAnet. Just couldn't figure out what the hell to do. Now I'm quiting on iphonemodem. It baffles me.

Yeah, I got it working now. The helper application from iphonemodem.de set up my ad hoc network correctly. But I couldn't get that app to work at all. Pdanet picked it up correctly. It works now.
