i currently have 2.1 jailbroken, and want to upgrade to 2.2 (to download podcasts!), and also to jailbreak and yellowsn0w (that only works on 2.2).
but when i plug it into itunes, it wants to go straight to 2.2.1 (which we dont want)- so how do i upgrade to just 2.2?
thanks!

Need a Mac. No Windows software for the PWNage tool exists.

thanks.
so im guessing:
1) do a restore to a new device, (to get back my 500mb of space).
2) do a restore to my pre-jailbreak 2.1 settings.
2) do a pwnage update to 2.2
?

You just just restore your phone as a new iPhone and then follow the guide. Just don't update to 2.2.1 prior to jailbreaking or you will be stuck.
