Unjailbreak my phone question

I want to restore my iphone 3g but when I followed the steps to do the restore it said...

"There are purchased songs on the iphone that have not been transferred to your itunes library. If you restore iphone, these songs will be erased and you will have to purchase them again".

Is there any way around this?

I have never purchased songs directly on my phone. But I would think it would be the same as APPS. WHen you buy an APP on the phone and you sync with iTunes it backs it up. If you try syncing to iTunes does it back up the songs?

As long as you have synced your phone since you have purchased those songs you should be fine. Check to make sure they are in your iTunes library.
