best firmware to use unlocked for tmobile?

i currently have the 2.0.1 firmware and its unlocked but I get terrible service. I've read online that firmware 1.1.4 has the best signal strength... any opinions?

I've never noticed any difference in signal quality from 1.1.4 up to the latest firmware. Which is where my GF's iPhone is currently. It's one of two things, either the phone is defective ~ if the service is that bad. Or you are in a bad service area for Tmobile.
