sync problem

Hi All,

I had about 40gb of music synced to my phone which i purposely deleted so i could clean up the collection ( delete duplicates, fix artwork and metedata etc)

now when i try to sync the music does not transfer to the phone

when i connect the phone to iTunes and press the phone icon in iTunes it shows the library but in a light grey font which is different to the black font when i click the library from the laptop.

i hope this is making sense as it's hard to explain well.
