Lost data when changing kbps from 300+ to 160kbps

Lost data when changing download kbps from 300+ to 160kbps so do not know when I first got the tune. Just fussy housekeeping but when burning CD I get more on them

You can't compare ripping off a CD to converting from one bitrate to another.
Those are two different processes and data loss is inherent to both of them, but not equally so.
