We could not complete your iTunes Store request. The network connection timed out

I am running the latest version of El Captain, on a 2015 iMAC. My iTunes library is on my Synology NAS. I am using an ASUS RT3100 router.
Over the last month, I keep getting these random popup's. "We could not complete your iTunes Store Request. The network connect timed out."

This happens daily. My internet works fine, and I am not loosing connections.

I've even reinstalled (Downloaded again the latests 12.4 iTunes) and it still happens.

How do I fix this?

I have a friend who was having same problem, Went to Apple Support Communities and followed a suggestion to delete all the expired Certificates in Keychain Access and then reboot. Seems to have done the trick and have now finally been able to update iTunes
