how do i stop the itunes store from closing?

the itunes store on my ipod 4 wont stay open, i cant do anything!!!
i cant download things and it wont stay open for more than a minute without closing again. i dont want to have to reset it. is there something im doing wrong?

Welcome to iMore! Try both these:
1. Swipe the iTunes Store app out of multitasking.
2. Do a hard reset
Hold the top or side power/sleep button and the home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears, then release.
