On Toshiba laptop....after upgrade to Windows 10, my iTunes does not sync the iPad

when I plug in the iPad, computer recognizes it as an external drive, but iTunes does nothing. although my iPod synchronizes as before win10. Both items worked with iTunes under Windows 8 op system.

Try rebooting the computer, the modem, the router and the iPad and then see if you can get iTunes to sync properly.
