    I am relatively new to iTunes on Windows. I downloaded the latest version and then tried signing in with my AppleID, but encountered an error which is as follows:
    "We couldn't complete your iTunes store request. An unknown error occurred. (-50)"
    Can somebody help me with this?
    I have already tried with the Firewall switched off, a few Internet options switched off and some other fixes, but none of them have helped.

    That could be an Apple server issue. Wait a while and try again. Hopefully someone else can maybe shed more light.

    Hi Malay
    The reason you're getting that error code -50 is because some of Apple Services are down. I was also wondering why the same thing was happening to me, started happening since 7:50AM MDT here in Canada.
    Here's what's currently down
    App Store
    Apple Music
    Apple TV
    iBook Store
    iTunes in The Cloud
    iTunes Match
    iTunes Store
    iTunes U
    Mac App Store
    OS X Software Update
    & Volume Purchase Program

    I am getting Error -48 when trying to restore with iTunes but I suspect the cause is the same. Is there any way around it?
