I have over 4,000 songs in iTunes but only 60+ syncing, how can I get the rest sync?

I no longer use a PC and have mostly listened to itunes radio up until recently when I discovered that I can't get any of these other songs to sync for some reason.

If they were imported to iTunes and not purchased there, you'll need iTunes Match to retrieve the rest of your music.

I have ITunes Match and have only 560 of 4200 synced. There are 203 purchased songs that will not download and all of my App updates will not take either. Help!
