Cannot buy a song in Canada?!

Okay so there is a song by an artist that I like. I would like to purchase this on iTunes. Simple right? Apple should be my friend here. But alas, I cannot!

Apparently, this album is only available in the USA. I haven't heard of anything like this happening before.... why can a Canadian not buy it?!

In retrospect from last night night, I see I was a bit rant-y. I was pretty miffed at the time.

Licensing for downloadable music... I didn't expect this to be an issue. When its "on itunes" its on itunes. Its as if The Rolling Stones only had music available for purchase in the UK.

Regardless, any suggestions how I can actually buy this song?

My account was in New Zealand for some reason and I really need it back to the US
