Will downloading a new version of iTunes delete pics on my iPad 2

The computer that I used to sync iTunes to my iPad II is dead. I need to download a new version of iTunes so that I can get a newer iOS. If I sync with another computer's iTunes will it wipe out the pics on my iPad? When I start the process I get a popup that makes me think that will happen. I really don't want to lose the pictures but I really need the new iOS. Any advice???

No. I just did the same thing.

Make sure your photos are saving to photo stream and that you are backing up to iCloud. Then you don't have to worry.

Thanks but I don't have access to the cloud with the current iOS.

I would email the photos to yourself to be on the safe side.
