Playlists not syncing between Ipad and Laptop (using ITunes Match)

I create a lot of playlists on my Ipad 2 and want to be able to transfer them to my laptop. I purchased ITunes Match. While all the songs I purchased on my Ipad transferred to my laptop (via ICloud), the playlists I created on my Ipad are not showing up in my ITunes on my laptop.

I haven't turned Match on my Ipad because I am afraid it is going to delete all my playlists I've created on my Ipad and will sync to the ITunes on my laptop.

Any help is much appreciated!

I can't sync iPad playlists to my iMac, either. I don't think Apple supports it. I have iTunes Match on on the iPad and the iMac, and my iPad playlists don't get deleted, at least.

That's weird. I have a windows machine with my iPhone and iPad and all my playlists stay in sync.
