Photos not syncing

I'm having an issue with my iPhone 4 and iTunes where it's not syncing any of my photos.
(iPhone 4/iTunes both latest version, OS is Windows 7.)

For some reason, it won't allow me to choose the Pictures library, and it also won't allow me to custome select what folders I want to sync.

I tried deauthorizing the computer in iTunes and removing/reinstalling, but that didn't do any good either.

Any suggestions? It syncs apps and music okay - it's just photos that I'm having an issue with.

It's not working on my iPad either, which tells me it's something within iTunes. That's why I errantly thought removal/reinstallation might fix it.

Did you pick manually manage music and files on the main summary page ?

I didn't choose the manually manage option because it listed for "music and videos", and I was trying to deal with photos.

Click Sync photos from, and make sure you show the main file/folder (MyPhotos) where your photos are stored.

Are you trying to sync them all, or choose only specific subfolders?

Tried that, Alli - when I selected "Photos" at the main level it told me that this was a library and not a folder. I'm trying to synchronize my entire library - I was able to do so before and I'm not sure why I can't now.
