iTunes Match

I think this is more iTunes than iOS 5 (if this needs to be moved, sorry). When iTunes Match goes live and we subscribe with our Mac/PC and upload our music, will the service still work if the Mac/PC with our library isn't online? What I mean is I do not have access to the net at home, only at WiFi spots/family and I want to subscribe to Match but only if it works while my laptop is at home and not synced to iTunes. It'd make sense for it to work, as once Apple verifies my library and I upload anything they don't have I should be good...right?


I have read up on iTunes Match but cannot find anything on this. Thanks
