ITunes sync with iPhone 4s problem...

For some reason, whenever I sync my iPhone 4s with my iTunes account, all my albums get screwed up. They are all correct and how they should be on iTunes itself, but not on the phone. For instance, I have a Red Hot Chili Peppers "Greatest Hits" album on ITunes that gets displayed on my iPhone as having no artist (just an album title) with songs from other greatest hits albums thrown into it (Fleetwood Mac, James Taylor, etc).

I've looked everywhere for a fix and can't seem to understand the whole "sort by field" option on iTunes.

Also, some albums are appearing twice on my phone but not in iTunes such as Audioslave and Cee Lo Green's "Lady Killer". Any ideas or help would be most appreciated.
