    Hi,
My Iphone 4 wont connect to Itunes (10.1.2.12).
Before i updated ti itunes 10.1.2.17 i had itune 9.2 and it worked fine.

    I have have:
Windows Vista Home premium 64 bit

    -uninstalled and reinstalled i tunes
-deleted all itunes component and reinstalled itunes
-try restarting the apple mobile device and ipod (service these programs never stopped working but i read in a lot of forums to restart it)

I had itunes 9.2 before and had chance to back up my iphone before i updated.
    My USB drive work perfectly
the PC recognizes the Iphone(opens up the camera)
    the iphone cable work perfectly
Ive plugged my iphone on other PCs and Macs and itunes recognizes it

I was wondering what to do? The only thing i can think is making my phone go into DFU mode but then if itunes still doesn't recognize I'm screwed

    I have no clue, honestly.

Try searching the Apple Support forums. That is your best bet at this point. Otherwise, if you have a laptop, make an appointment with an Apple Genius and see if there is anything they can do.

Try a different cable, sometimes they are flakey.

    Hope this helps.

If not hang in there, their are some wicked smart people in this forum, someone will get you through the issue.

    Try the cable first

    Good Luck

    Try:

    Be sure itunes is closed.

    Delete the iTunesPrefs.xml file from C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\iTunes.

    Delete the iTunesPrefs.xml file from C:\Users\[your name]\AppData\Local\Apple Computer\iTunes.

Restart iTunes. See if that helps.
