My iPad doesn't show up when I've got iTunes on pc

Can someone help me please I'm trying to sync my iPad,I got it uploaded new iTunes updated it to latest version on iPad I've gone to pc to put some music on my iPad and sync it and my iPad is not in the left bar??when wires are connected!!Thanks

Could it be your cable or USB port? Try another cable especially is it is not the Apple cable that came with your phone. Also, try inserting in another USB port...does your computer recognize the device? Other than that, I have no a clue, sorry...
